Procedure
For the Beef Goulash
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- In a large skillet, heat butter and oil. Add beef cubes and season with salt and pepper. Transfer to a bowl.
- Using the same pan, cook chopped onions until tender.
- Stir in paprika, flour, diced tomatoes and beef broth. Return beef back to the pan and bring to a boil. Transfer to the oven for 2 hours.
- Garnish with fresh chives.
For the Pasta
- Using a large pot, boil 3 cups of water. Add oil and salt.
- Cook pasta according to package directions.
- Serve with cooked beef goulash.
